Correction: The Douglas Police Department made a mistake in identifying a person arrested at Wal-Mart for Shoplifting on Dec 22, 2011. The release issued by Douglas PD identified Mr. Vicente Cardenas (55) as being arrested and that was incorrect. The person arrested for shoplifting was Fernando Chavez Cortez (53). He was cited and released.

'I have a BMW in my living room': Seconds before striking the house, an SUV rear-ended a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee, Cocoa Beach Police Sgt. Scott Rosenfeld said. The impact shoved the Jeep off the roadway onto the Mariner Townhomes property on South 14th Street.
